Decisions, indecision, something something something, DO IT NOW!

I'm a bit tired. But we're over halfway to the end of the chapter :3 There are 27 pages this time. I am trying to get the chapter length under control XD

This week was the monthly Q & A! I am going to have them be the last Wednesday of every month from now on. Just to set a precedence and organize myself. :3

I am not sure if humans are ready for that even if peaceful times were ahead. I assume it is not like one event thing and then the magicals go back to their world afterwards but it is permanent?
BlueDragon edit delete reply 31st Jan 2021, 3:59 PM
You got that right! Humans aren't/won't be ready for it.

Buuuuut they're gonna have to get used to it, because the Fae out number them.

We're gonna find that out later. Most of them are still living in their own domains, because they are very much creatures of habit and most have shunned humans...but eventually things are going to have to integrate.

Aaaaand they are probably more powerful at this point than humans. If the human population hadn't been wiped out, tech/weapons of war may have LEVELED (oh my god, very distasteful joke) the playing field. But modern humans were doing all they could just to regroup and try to find people who would learn/knew how things functioned D:

OH man, let's hope the Fae don't figure out technology o_O It's gonna be like Bakshi's Wizards (or Everworld, where the alien fly people sell the tech from Jamal's science book. I always liked Everworld way more than Animorphs XD).

Is their visit supposed to be temporary and they go back afterwards or once they are out they are going to freely move between both worlds forever?
Both are insanely prone to chaos still but I guess there is not much stuff in the human world for a magical being to enjoy for their usually very long lifespans.

lmao, Wizards would completely bonkers but I am thinking more like The Longest Journey. Even though there you have to prevent the worlds from leaking into each other.

The Fae are here to stay, yo!

But seriously, how I'm going to handle it, is the Faerie Veil falls, and it will not be reconstructed.

The intradimentional space where they'd fled will remain, and become something of a "homeland," or country of origin for the fae, however, many are going to flee that homeland, because of the depleted resources, a sense of exploration and curiosity, and in some cases, bitterness from being "chased off" Earth (which is in part true, but to be fair, humans were pretty weak technologically speaking, so it really was a decisions on the Fae's part).

Some are also going to be taking resources from the Earth and taking them back to the "Homeland." be honest, a lot of that is just going to be the backdrop for the story of our heroes. I don't think I'm intelligent enough to write something of any great political or social importance. So while that will be a "thing" in the story, we're really going on a Journey to the West :3

I have a lot of research to do before I start the next one. Good thing we have a while! XD

Holy crap! I had not heard of The Longest Journey! But I bet I can find a version of it to play :3

A couple years ago, my partner found The Summoning and Return to Zork for me, since I'd never finished the games when I was younger. They are so much fun!

I had to cheat on Zork, though -_- There was no way I was going to know what to do in some cases. Like you can use one type of rat, but not another!

I did know right way I needed to burn a bra for the wire, though XD XD XD

I later realized it could be a spoiler for the end but if it is more of background info then that is cool. I was curious how permanent the effects are going to be.

TLJ is amazing and one of the best adventure games I have played. The two Dreamfall "sequels" can be safely ignored. Especially the third game.
lmao, I only played the first two Zork games on an Apple II computer I own but those were completely text only :D

Yeah, if you're this far in the story, and you know about the Fae, I don't think knowing about them is going to spoil *too* much. I had that whole Intermission a while back anyway, so I'm comfortable giving that out. Anyway, it could be that the Fae and Fae AND humans have another war! :D Or maybe not. Who knows :D I won't say anything about that :)

Aaaaaaand the next page that posts today is going to reveal something about Shimiko that we probably already knew ;)

Ah! The original Zorks I never played :*( But I definitely know about them. I am going to check out The Longest Journey sometime. I just finished Disco Elysium a while back, and I completed my first play through of Salt and Sanctuary, and it's super hard now and makes me rage quit even more than the first time around XD XD XD (fun game, though.)
