Did she cross the barrier? Or about to cross it.
Sorry, not sure what to think about that black bar effect, haha :O

You got it right!

The inverted part is the inner layer of black magic acting as a sound barrier, while the outer layer is what masks the organic bodies inside. So if you were to look at the house on the outside of the barrier, you'd just see the house and hear nothing. But it's not a physical wall, so it can be crossed into.

When I eventually come to flipping this act, I'll add a panel or page showing the outside with nothing going on so this is more clear.

I've roped my partner into editing for me, so when I start on Act 6, begin fixing the early pages (probably I'll start on that next week,) I'll know ahead of time if something is unclear :3

I appreciate all your questions, though, 'cause I'm taking notes on things that are confusing that have nothing to do with spoilers XD

Public park is a large place so inevitably somebody is going to cross the barrier. I suppose it is one way only?
BlueDragon edit delete reply 24th Mar 2019, 4:03 PM
Oh, they're not in the park anymore. They're at Mia's house. It's an upper-class neighborhood that's not terribly busy (no through streets, tucked away from main roads.)

But the barrier was a precaution in case there were other kids home playing outside. They'd have to actually go to someone else's property and cross the barrier to see and hear what's going on :D It's not impassable, just more of cloaking spell.

What happens next week, a solid barrier :D

Solidifying the barrier takes more energy, and it's borrowed magic from Keisuma, anyway (Rensha's the only one of this group she's allowed to tap into her powers.)

More on that later. Things don't bode well when one's using a demon's black magic...he's also a bit of a hypocrite, because he's not really fighting for Keisuma, but he's not above using her magic.

Again...more on that later :D

NOO! You did not just scene change at the most dramatic part. My biggest pet peeve in all of entertainment. Though, I get it. It’s quite effective.

Don't worry, she's just getting caught up in the action ;)
