No post this week. Between being a bit of an emotional mess and trying to dedicate as much care and work as possible to the Comic Fury Zine which is getting released mid-June, early-July, I was unable to get my shit together enough to draw anything not Zine related this week.
(I've got it together now. I had my outbursts of emotion indoors, I had time to get the anger out, now making plans for action...putting my shoulder to the wheel. I like to act AFTER I work through my emotions, so I'm not controlled by them or manipulated by others.)
I am offering up this image of Rhina's mom from the late '60s as a consolation for no post. We see Mrs. Miller (nee Eastman) in her younger days when she used to hang out listening to bands around Haight-Asbury, where she met her future husband (Rin's Dad.) I don't really get to explore their family much in the story (as of now,) so I figured I'd share little bits here and there. Just an FYI: Leighanne Eastman's mother is Japanese-American, while her father is Caucasian-American (hence the last name not really fitting her looks.) Rin has cousins in Japan who send her fan translated manga, but oddly Kanna's been more interested in Rin's Japanese heritage than Rhina is..which sometimes makes Rin uncomfortable.
Next week I'm going to try to get two pages done to make up, because I HAVE to get to the end of this act so I can take a real break. I want to work on a buffer for both the revamp and this site, and I don't want to be rushing myself and putting out shit pages (which I know I will do again anyway, but I'm trying to stay on top of things.)
Also, thanks to my new subscribe star patron! I'm not sure where you're reading from, but thank you *O*! You're awesome!!
And thank you also to you all reading and/or commenting. :) Thank you so much.
I am too lazy to html my main comment this week (I have a link to Rin's mom in the comic I wanted to share.) So I'm making the weekly video a separate Author's Note. Don't feel obligated to watch these: they are there if you're interested in listening to me babble, but certainly not needed to enjoy the comic. I don't talk a lot about Dark Horse this week...more working through my emotions, creating my contribution to the Comic Fury Zine splash page, and building hype and support for the CF community (but also thanking my Tapas peeps.)
There's a whole lot wrong with the world right now,
so I know it's not easy,
but I hope you continue to feel better.
We're all in this together,
so we should look out for each other.
...
(it feels a bit weird to switch tones, but here we go)
I really dig the overall Aesthetic of this week's post!
Good luck with the Zine,
I look forward to checking it out!
Also Miss Blu is extra cute ^_^
...
As for this week's Question:
I would recomend El Goonish Shive, by Dan Shive,
which I've been reading for like 17 years now!
Thanks for your kind words. I am trying to find ways to help (besides, you know, what I already do...guess that's why I'm so frustrated.)

I like the art in that comic! I am definitely gonna check it out! Thanks for sharing that :)
And...I feel okay now. I hope you are well, also :)
Always a fan of cool vintage outfits!
I just got done sketching the second page for this week :D
So excited! Only 2/3 pages left! (two page spread, of course.)
so I know it's not easy,
but I hope you continue to feel better.
