Kanna, at this point, is has not practiced "grace under pressure." It's a very difficult skill to learn...some of us never learn it XD

Oh boy, hope everyone's doing okay. We're already in the month of May! Geez...

This week I babble about community and how I'm trying to work it into the Revamp of Dark Horse. I keep almost whispering in these videos...I think it's because my partner is working from home again, and I don't want to be too loud recording XD I need to work on speaking up and having more energy.

Oh come on! Your special to us...

Seriously, though, healing powers are nothing to sneeze at

They are very interesting to play with :3 I'm trying to make sure she's not going to be overpowered. It's been fun watching people's different takes on healing characters.

Sailor Moon, Steven Universe, Josuke Higashikata XD I love how Josuke's biggest problem is he's never in the right place when they need him. It's amazing, and probably the most realistic thing about the show XD XD XD

No, I am not looking for realism in my cartoons, thank you very much! Just observing XD

NO don't have REALISM! If I want realism, I'll watch a documentary. I say, keep cartoons cartoony!

There is a lot of emotion in these one-pagers. I’m often afraid of having any portion of the story in one (or two) panel pages , but they really work when you do ‘em!

Thank you so much! I know I sometimes rely on them too much, but it does help pack a punch :3

That said, I do need to work on my multi-panel pages XD (I'm saying this, I know you're not implying it XD)

Sucks when you have no say in this but being chosen is being chosen. I am wondering how much of a chance she has if she decided to walk away from it but then the bad guys never wait so it is probably pointless...

That would be interesting to see!

I would imagine, if she just didn't heal Rin...things would have unfolded differently, but resulted in the same situation in the future.

Maybe, Shimi would take Rin to the future for healing from someone who knows how to counteract black magic? Even knowing the future events can't be changed, there are options when you have a time-traveling mage in the party XD

I would think, if Kanna DIDN'T heal Rin, I could use that to better demonstrate the divide between them and what lead to some future things you all haven't seen yet...

But I am not going that route this time on the wheel XD

You cannot change the future but perhaps you can arrive there with other some other events happening better that will perhaps improve the future afterwards. Since we usually talk about one event of one point but not about what happened next. Those events can potentially play out better!

But ya, if characters could walk away then there would be no story and that is only logical!
One of my favorite scenes is when at the end of the game Thief, Garrett tries to walk away from everything and tells his former mentor that he is done and he can choose so and he should tell that to others as well.
The mentor replies with: "I will tell them this: Nothing has changed. All is as it was written."
It is also a decision of its own that moves the overal state of things.

Too true! I like that...I may check out the game. Is Thief and RPG?

Oof, I need to finish Hollow Knight first...and FFXV. I am *almost* done with Hollow Knight (it's so good--but my reaction time is slow, so I get help with the bosses from my partner XD Some I can handle, but some I just get soooo pissed at! I think it's why I like RPGs better than active time games XD)

Okay, I'm done with my ketchup and I think you passed the mustard. Anyway, welcome to Oregon and stay well.

Ah thanks! We seriously love it here! A little bummed we're not able to explore more (I mean, we walk around and check things out.) But this can't last forever, and I'm a bit of a homebody anyway.

Mmmm....now I mayo need a sandwich :D

The best remedy for that sort of thinking is just practice! I can imagine that it will be second-nature to Kanna near the end of her character arc ;)

She can be very effective when her self esteem is high :D She's just gotta believe in herself and her capabilities :3
