I am working on the buffer for Act 4, but want to continue posting something. As I've explained before, each act will *hopefully* be printed in the future individually in a similar format to US comics (larger, thinner books.) However, I'd also like to have a couple acts in one book bound more like Manga...which I don't trust publishers to do correctly cause I already got burned with Act One :( I have a bunch of crappily printed, terribly formatted hard copies of this act that wasn't done properly and the company would not fix--$400 down the tube. NEVER USE XLIBRIS FOR YOUR COMICS! I even sent them a hard copy I printed and cut and put together myself! They still got it wrong! Oh well, Act 1 needs to be redone anyway, so I'll take it to a local printer next time and walk through it with them--I had better luck with locals while doing my college project initially (should have done it that way to begin with!)

I doubt I'll ever have money for these plans, but one can dream!

I have a few songs I think would be great "openers" and "closers" in the imaginary world of this comic being an animated show. There was a fantastic thread on this, which fell to the wayside after many posts :) But I found this group in my youtube wanderings a while back, and LOVE the whole album. This song by the La Femme would be one good "closer" song :)

In my opinion, some of these "publishers" are just someone thinking they can earn money by just printing comics/manga.
It is not as easy as just printing it and getting the book together.
I guess they mostly prey on people who are independent and unknown or hobbyists who want their work printed :(

Right you are! They really do prey on people who are ignorant, as I was. I took every precaution I thought I could to make sure they understood. I did also send my comic to the US copy right office first, so there's no way they could out right steal it (not that they would, it looks like crap!)

I think they're better for people publishing text...since my main problem was with formatting. Still, they should have refunded me some money. I was dealing with them for months and finally just gave up...

You truly do live and learn...sometimes the hard way. ~Le sigh!

I have a friend who prints her Web comic, if you're interested in printing again, I can pm you who she uses. She's never had a complaint. :D

I am definitely going to want to print sometime! I am *slowly* reworking the first two acts so the artwork is a little better. Once I get that done, I really would like to print and try to rent booths and stuff at some conventions (and it'd give me an excuse to go to more conventions :P)
